A fresh signal from the market
Hydrogen has spent several years being discussed through targets, road maps and announced capacity. The more useful question for companies deciding where to invest sales effort is simpler: where is serious capital beginning to move?
On 17 September 2026, Brookfield announced an investment of up to US$600 million in ACME Cleantech Ventures. The capital is intended to support green ammonia and green methanol projects in India and West Asia. The significance is not only the size of the cheque. It is the type of assets attracting it: projects designed around green molecules, long-term demand and export-facing markets.
For technology suppliers, engineering companies, component manufacturers and service providers, that changes the commercial conversation. A project backed by institutional capital eventually needs equipment, controls, storage, water systems, power electronics, safety systems, certification, logistics and a long list of specialised capabilities. The opportunity around hydrogen is therefore much wider than the electrolyser itself.
The opportunity sits across the project stack
India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission is already building that stack. Government data published in March 2026 said 862,000 MTPA of green hydrogen production capacity had been awarded to 18 companies, while 3,000 MW per annum of electrolyser manufacturing capacity had been awarded to 15 companies. Prices had also been discovered for 724,000 MTPA of green ammonia supply to 13 fertiliser units.
Those numbers matter because they point to multiple routes into the market. An exhibitor may sell process equipment to a producer, automation to an EPC contractor, instrumentation to an industrial user, software to a project developer, or safety and certification services across all of them.
The market is not moving at the same speed everywhere. Some projects remain announced, some are under construction and others are already commissioned. That makes commercial intelligence particularly valuable. Suppliers need to know which projects are moving, who is buying, what specifications are becoming important and where partnerships can shorten the route to market.
Why face-to-face market access matters now
A growing project pipeline does not automatically translate into orders for every supplier. Hydrogen projects are technically demanding and capital intensive. Buyers need confidence in performance, integration, delivery schedules, after-sales support and the ability to work within a developing standards environment.
That is why an exhibition floor can do more than provide visibility. It gives companies a place to put a technical proposition in front of the people who may influence procurement, project design or partnership decisions. It also lets suppliers hear the questions the market is actually asking.
At IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026, the commercial value for an exhibitor lies in that concentration of the ecosystem: producers, offtakers, project developers, technology providers, investors and policymakers in the same environment. For a company entering India, it can be a way to understand the market before committing heavily. For an Indian manufacturer, it can be a route to new customers, partners and international conversations.
Exhibit around a business question, not just a product
The strongest exhibition strategy is rarely “show everything we make.” A better starting point is: which hydrogen problem do we solve?
Can your technology reduce power consumption? Improve plant availability? Make storage safer? Lower water demand? Improve purity? Simplify monitoring? Support local manufacturing? Help an industrial user integrate hydrogen into an existing process?
Those are the conversations that make a booth useful.
The next phase of India’s hydrogen market will be shaped by companies that can turn project ambition into reliable execution. Capital entering green ammonia and methanol is another reminder that the opportunity is becoming more specific. For suppliers, the question is no longer only whether hydrogen will create a market. It is where their capability fits as that market is built.
IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026 takes place on 17–18 November 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. For companies that want to be visible where hydrogen projects, industrial demand and technology meet, the exhibition floor is a practical place to start.
FAQs
Who should exhibit at IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026?
Technology providers, manufacturers, EPC companies, component suppliers, engineering firms, digital solution providers, safety and certification specialists, infrastructure companies and other businesses serving the hydrogen value chain can use the exhibition to present their capabilities.
Why is green ammonia important to hydrogen suppliers?
Green ammonia converts green hydrogen into a molecule with established industrial uses and potential export and shipping applications. Its projects require capabilities across production, storage, handling, engineering and logistics.
What do India’s SIGHT awards indicate?
They show government-supported capacity being created in both green hydrogen production and domestic electrolyser manufacturing, helping define where supply-chain opportunities may emerge.
Does every announced hydrogen project represent an immediate sales opportunity?
No. Projects sit at different stages, from announcement and bidding to construction and commissioning. Suppliers should qualify opportunities carefully and understand project timelines.
When and where is IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026?
17–18 November 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India.
