If You Work in Hydrogen, Two Days on the Exhibition Floor Can Answer Questions a Screen Cannot!

The market is moving — but not in one direction

Following India’s hydrogen market from a desk has become difficult. New projects appear across ammonia, methanol, refineries, mobility and industrial applications. Manufacturing capacity is being developed. Offtake arrangements are being signed. Standards are evolving. Some projects are commissioned, some are under construction and many are still moving through development.

For a trade visitor, the challenge is no longer finding information. It is deciding what matters.

Official data gives the scale. By March 2026, the Government of India reported 862,000 MTPA of green hydrogen production capacity awarded to 18 companies and 3,000 MW per annum of electrolyser manufacturing capacity awarded to 15 companies. Green ammonia price discovery had covered 724,000 MTPA for 13 fertiliser units. Separately, projects for 30,000 MTPA of green hydrogen had been awarded across major refineries including IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and NRL.

But numbers do not tell you which technology is right for your application, which supplier is ready to deliver, how systems integrate, or what a project developer is learning on the ground.

That is where visiting becomes useful

A trade exhibition compresses market discovery.

Instead of opening another set of tabs, a visitor can compare technologies, ask technical questions, understand different supplier approaches and see where the ecosystem is developing. A procurement professional can compare vendors. An industrial user can explore hydrogen and derivative applications. A project developer can look for engineering and technology partners. An investor can understand where commercial activity is becoming more tangible.

For professionals who are still assessing hydrogen, the value can be even simpler: learning the vocabulary of the market quickly and seeing the difference between a concept, a pilot and a commercially deployable solution.

What should you look for on the floor?

Do not visit with only a list of company names. Visit with questions.

If you are evaluating electrolysers, ask about efficiency, operating range, water quality, stack life, service and local support. If storage is relevant, ask about pressure, materials, safety and footprint. If you work in an industrial demand sector, ask how hydrogen integrates with existing operations and what changes around infrastructure, energy supply and process design.

The same principle applies to green ammonia, methanol, mobility, shipping and hydrogen infrastructure. The useful conversation is rarely “tell me about your product.” It is “show me how this works in my operating context.”

India’s official hydrogen project portal already reflects a wide range of end uses and project stages. Seeing technologies and speaking to companies in person helps put that project map into commercial context.

Why IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026 is worth putting in the calendar

IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026 brings the India Green Hydrogen Assembly and Hyvolution India together on 17–18 November at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.

For visitors, the proposition is straightforward: one place to encounter the hydrogen value chain across technology, projects, industrial demand, infrastructure, investment and policy conversations.

The event is being positioned around 150+ exhibitors, 7,000+ trade visitors and participation from 30+ countries. More important than the numbers is the mix of people behind them: producers, offtakers, project developers, technology providers, investors and policymakers.

That creates the possibility of doing several kinds of market work in the same visit — supplier discovery, technical learning, partnership conversations, competitor intelligence and relationship building.

Make the two days deliberate

Before arriving, identify the three questions you most need answered. Shortlist technologies or companies relevant to those questions. Leave space in the schedule for unexpected conversations.

During the event, collect fewer brochures and more useful answers. Ask what has actually been deployed. Ask what is available in India. Ask about delivery time, integration, standards and service. If a technology looks promising, agree on the next step while the conversation is still fresh.

The hydrogen market is still being built. That is precisely why seeing it in person can be valuable.

If your work touches energy, industrial decarbonisation, engineering, manufacturing, mobility, shipping, infrastructure, investment or policy, IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026 offers a practical way to see how those pieces are beginning to connect.

Register as a trade visitor and use 17–18 November to understand not only where hydrogen is headed, but where your organisation may fit.

FAQs

Who should visit IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026?

Trade visitors can include industrial buyers, procurement teams, project developers, engineers, technology professionals, investors, consultants, researchers, policymakers and businesses exploring hydrogen opportunities.

What can visitors compare at a hydrogen exhibition?

Depending on the exhibitor mix, visitors can explore production technologies, components, storage, compression, power systems, automation, safety, infrastructure, engineering and solutions for hydrogen derivatives and end-use sectors.

Why visit if I can research suppliers online?

Online research is useful for shortlisting. An exhibition allows direct technical questioning, side-by-side comparison and conversations about integration, service, timelines and commercial fit.

Which sectors are driving hydrogen demand in India?

Key demand areas include fertilisers, refineries, steel, shipping and mobility, alongside emerging applications in green ammonia, methanol and other industrial uses.

When is IGHA – Hyvolution India 2026?

The event is scheduled for 17–18 November 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India.
